Looking to expand your online presence and attract new customers searching locally? Bing Places for Business is another great way to gain online visiblity for your local construction business! This free tool, similar to Google Business Profile, helps local businesses connect with potential customers on Bing searches. Here's a quick guide to get your Bing Places for Business profile up and running:
1. Navigate to Bing Places for Business:
Head to https://www.bingplaces.com/ to get started setting up your Bing profile page. Click on the “New User” option to start the process.
2. Choose Setup Method:
Once you’ve reached this point you will be presented with 2 options:
- If you’ve already set up your Google Business Profile, you can import it into Bing for instant verification.
- If you haven’t set up your Google Business Profile, you can claim it if it's existing or add your business manually to Bing
3. Provide Essential Information:
If you are setting up your Bing Profile manually, you will need to provide this information:
- Business name and category
- Locations: Enter your business address if you have a physical storefront. Select “Service area only” if you provide mobile services.
Service Areas: Specify the areas you serve - Contact Information: Provide your phone number and website address (if you have one).
- Description: Write a compelling description highlighting your business and services.
- Verification: Bing will send a postcard or initiate phone verification to confirm your business ownership. Once verified, you can unlock the full potential of your profile!
4. Optimize Your Profile:
Similar to Google Business Profile, optimize your Bing profile to attract more customers:
